The Way Forward Campaign

Helping more youth navigate the journey ahead

Today, too many youth are entering and leaving foster care without the necessary support, making them vulnerable to risks such as sex trafficking, gang and drug activity, and justice system involvement.

Our goal is to expand the Home's continuum of care to provide stability and life-changing opportunities to more children, teens, and young adults.

To provide stability and life-changing opportunities for more teens, youth, and young adults, the Home is embarking on a $5 million campaign to expand and enhance its range of services and build a financially sustainable future.

Expand & Renovate Campus
$2.6 million

Blueprint.png

The Home is building two new residential-style homes for young adults 18+ and updating our 20-year-old campus to create safe, welcoming spaces built for daily use. These improvements focus on what youth need most right now.

  • Two new residential-style homes for a new independent living program
  • Updates to aging buildings and shared spaces
  • Safe, flexible, and supportive environments that support healing

Invest in People & Programs
$2.4 million

Launching the new independent living program is the next major step in serving young adults with stability and opportunity. At the same time, we’re strengthening the quality and capacity of our existing programs so youth with complex needs receive consistent, high-quality care. This investment centers on the people who make that possible.

  • Launch of the independent living program
  • Enhanced residential care and aftercare
  • Training and livable wages for staff
  • Recruitment and retention of specialized talent

Planned Giving

The Home’s endowment strengthens the Home’s foundation for the future and protects our mission from economic uncertainty and the volatility of government funding.

  • Reliable annual funding for programs
  • Reduced reliance on government reimbursement
  • Long-term financial stability

Planned and legacy gifts play a vital role in securing this future.

Anticipating the Need

Since 1970, the Children’s Attention Home has provided safety and stability for children with nowhere else to turn, serving more than 9,000 youth.

In 2017, the Home expanded its mission with the launch of Crossroads, beginning a new chapter of program growth focused on older youth experiencing homelessness and those aging out of foster care. This evolution set the foundation for expanded services, deeper impact, and what would become the Home’s Way Forward.

Your giving helps more youth find their way forward.

You are helping a teen build their future.
You are saving a youth from life-threatening circumstances.
You are making it possible for more youth to find their healthy path forward.

You are giving opportunity and hope.
