Adam Smith graduated from Clemson University with a degree in Construction Science and Management. For the first 20 years of his career, he worked in the commercial construction industry managing the preconstruction, development, and construction of projects in various markets throughout the southeast including medical, educational, industrial, and government. Adam currently operates Horizon Property Group, a commercial real estate development company, focused on promoting economic growth and community enhancement in York County. Adam is very active in his community and enjoys spending time with his wife, Elizabeth, and children, Evelyn and Grant. Adam enjoys F3 workouts, camping, playing golf and tennis, and Clemson football.

Dosimetrist Manager, Landauer Medical Physics
Cara Sullivan is the Dosimetry Manager and Clinical Education Coordinator at Atrium Health’s Levine Cancer Institute, with over 35 years of experience in the radiation oncology field. She holds degrees in Healthcare Administration, Radiation Therapy Technology, and Radiologic Technology, and is board certified in both Medical Dosimetry and Radiation Therapy. Cara is deeply committed to advancing cancer treatment and has shared her expertise at numerous oncology conferences. She has also served in board leadership roles, as President and Secretary of the American Association of Medical Dosimetrists.
Beyond her professional work, Cara is passionate about supporting children in need. She considers it a privilege to be part of an organization that makes a difference in the lives of young people and is dedicated to growing the home’s vision. Outside of her career and volunteer work, Cara enjoys long runs and relaxing by the ocean with her husband, Steve, in Fort Mill, SC.

Derek Kelley, originally from Dothan, AL, graduated from Alabama State University with a degree in Business Administration and a Juris Doctor from Charlotte School of Law. He has been in the financial services industry for over 20 years, with extensive experience in traditional banking and FinTech. His specialty is regulatory compliance related to consumer lending products.
Derek lives in Fort Mill, SC with his wife Nikki, and they are proud parents to McKenna and Jaden.

Stephen Price, originally from Rock Hill, is currently an Executive Director in the Charlotte office of J.P. Morgan Private Bank. His focus is on delivering wealth management solutions including customized investment strategies, traditional banking, lending solutions and tax efficient strategies to maximize trust and estate planning. Prior to joining J.P. Morgan in 2012, Stephen served seven years in the United States Marine Corps as an infantry officer including three deployments in support of Operation Iraqi Freedom. Stephen earned a B.S. in Ocean Engineering from the United States Naval Academy and an M.B.A. in Finance from the University of Georgia’s Terry College of Business. He and his wife, Sarah Lawhon Price, live in Rock Hill and are proud parents to Caroline, Grace, and Brooks.

Originally from Sumter, SC, Shelly Goodner began calling Rock Hill home over 25 years ago when she moved to the area to attend Winthrop University. She graduated with a B.A. in Mass Communications and upon graduating, she began her banking career with Carolina First Bank and has held several industry positions since. She joined SouthState Bank as a Commercial Relationship Manager in 2015 and in 2022 was promoted to Commercial Business Analyst handling Communications for the Commercial Bank. She is involved with the York County Chamber of Commerce’s Leadership York County program, where she has served on the Planning Council since 2012. She also sits on the City of Rock Hill’s Planning Commission and is a former Team Leader for the Come See Me Festival's Chalk on Main and Moonlight Jazz & Blues events. In her spare time, Shelly likes to spend time with her husband, Mike, and their two children, Mason and Millie.

Her key areas of expertise include investment strategy, tax mitigation and income strategies, wealth protection, wealth transfer planning, and impactful giving. Beyond her professional life, Kim is deeply committed to her faith, family, and community. She volunteers regularly at a local food pantry, teaches Sunday school, and leads mission trips. She is a proud foster mom to two girls. Her hobbies include reading, gardening, and soap making.

Andrea Cooper graduated from Southern Wesleyan University with a B.S. in Business Administration and from Pfeiffer University with a M.S. in Human Resources. For the past 25+ years, Andrea has worked for Comporium and is currently the SVP of Human Resources.
Beyond her professional work, Andrea is an active volunteer in the Rock Hill community. She serves on the board for Keystone Substance Abuse Services (2019 to present). She is a Rock Hill Kiwanian and serves on the Board of Governors for ChristmasVille (2010-2015 and 2021 to present). Andrea is a former Commissioner for the Rock Hill/York County Convention and Visitors Bureau, former Come-See-Me board member and festival chair.
Andrea is married to David, and they have called Rock Hill home for over 30 years. David and Andrea love spending time with their family; especially their grandchildren (Anna Stephens, Emma and Arch).

In his spare time he enjoys traveling with his wife and son, a great meal, and all things sports.

Dr. Lisa Foster graduated with a Diploma in Nursing from Mercy Hospital School of Nursing (Charlotte, NC). She obtained a Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) from Winston Salem State University, a Masters in Nursing with a focus on nursing education from Grand Canyon University and a Doctor of Nursing Practice degree, also from Grand Canyon University. She is nationally board certified as a Nursing Professional Development Specialist. She was formerly the Education Manager/Pathway to Excellence Program Director for Atrium Health Pineville and was the co-creator of their Diversity Certificate Program, a Brandon Hall National Award-winning program. She was honored in 2017 as a NC Great 100 nurse.
Lisa is an active volunteer with Changed Choices, an organization that serves incarcerated women, making changes through faith. She is on the advisory board for Charlotte AHEC, is a peer reviewer for educational applications for the NCNA, and also serves on the advisory boards for Wingate, South Piedmont Community College, and Belmont Abbey University Nursing Programs. She is the State Advisor for the North Carolina Association of Nursing Students, services as a mentor with the South Piedmont Scholars Program, and is the Co-Chair for the selections committee of the Great 100 Nurses Organization.

Denise Mackey brings a dynamic blend of sales expertise, media experience, and a deep passion for relationship-building to our board. A graduate of Queens University with a degree in Communications, she began her career in Medical Device Sales and Event Sales Management before transitioning into media, where she spent several years as a radio host on The BJ Murphy Morning Show and other programs across the Carolinas.
Her natural ability to connect with people led her to real estate, where she built a successful career in general brokerage sales and now serves as a Community Sales Manager. With a history of award-winning success in sales and a continued track record of excellence, Denise has built a reputation for delivering results while fostering long-term client relationships.
Beyond her professional achievements, Denise is deeply committed to giving back. She actively volunteers with the Hospitality House of Charlotte, Meals on Wheels for Seniors, and Saving Southern Kitties of the Carolinas. When she’s not making an impact in the community, you can find her kayaking, hiking, or enjoying time with family and friends.

She also makes it a priority to make sure that her employees reach their career and personaI growth goals.
Neely lives in Rock Hill, SC with husband Chris, and their two beautiful children Garner and Sutton. She enjoys spending time with her family, extended family, and friends. She also enjoys watching her children play sports and all the other extra activities that they are
involved in. Neely loves to read and try new cooking recipes in her down time. She also likes traveling with her family and friends.

Eric Ransone graduated with a Mechanical Engineering degree from Old Dominion University and has attained a Master of Science degree in Technology Management from University of Miami (FL). For the last 11 years he has worked as a Project Manager in the energy industry at Siemens Energy, Inc., in Charlotte, NC, where he manages multiple $1M+ projects simultaneously from cradle to grave that provide services and products to various power plants across the globe. He helps keep the lights on! Prior to that he was an Engineer for almost 15 years on the US Space Shuttle program, responsible for the service of the Space Shuttle Main Engine liquid fueled rocket engines. He was a literal rocket scientist! Eric is an active member of F3, a men’s group whose mission is to promote community leadership through small workout groups. Eric first started his relationship with the Home back in 2016 through F3 while volunteering for various things such as chaperoning outings with the kids, taking the boys out around the home to work out and get energy out, helping with food/drink/various collection drives, and helping with maintenance and upgrades on the home. Eric is quite active in his community and enjoys spending his time with his wife Stephanie, his sons Carl and Thomas. Eric enjoys F3 workouts, running, traveling, fishing, gardening, and NY Mets baseball.

Marshall Scarborough started working in the food industry 25 years ago with his first foodservice job at McDonalds. Since then he’s worked in a variety of kitchens from fast food all the way to a Michelin Star restaurant in Europe.
He is a graduate from Johnson & Wales University with an associate's degree in Culinary Arts and a bachelor's in Culinary Nutrition. Since then he's worked at Archer Daniels Midland, Popeyes Louisiana Kitchen, Jack in the Box Inc., The Wendy's Company and is now the Vice President of Menu Innovation & Chief Culinary Officer for Bojangles’ Restaurants Inc.
At Bojangles’ he is leading efforts to modernize the menu with help from a team of chefs and food scientists working to serve the best-tasting food at every Bojangles’ restaurant location, balancing consumer sciences and culinary innovation to design new menu items and make existing ones better.
He has been volunteering with ProStart since 2011. He is committed to creating opportunities for students and restaurant industry professionals to connect with one another to build a community of passionate food industry professionals that are inspired by each other and the food they create.
