Friday, May 15

Construction continues! Since our last update and while waiting on rough-in inspections, the crew has installed kitchen island half walls, framing for pocket doors, Trex on porches and the ramp, and gas lines to the meter.

In the meantime, we wanted to share Daniella's* story, written in her own words. Her story shows why the stability created through the Way Forward Campaign matters for youth today and into the future. Take a look!

Meet Daniella

"I know I deserve a better life, one filled with love, stability, and purpose. I want to make the people who believe in me proud, but more than anything, I want to make myself proud. There were times when others dimmed my light and took pieces of my smile without caring about the damage they caused. For a long time, I carried the pain quietly. But now, I’m healing. Now I can smile for real, not a forced smile, not one hiding in pain, but a genuine smile that comes from strength, growth, and hope. I am choosing happiness and I am choosing myself."
