Floating Down Main St.

December 19, 2019

Nothing says “Merry Christmas” quite like a Christmas parade, and the Children's Attention Home had the opportunity to be featured in one Friday, December 6.

Teammates and their families represented the home in the annual Rock Hill Christmas Parade, celebrating the season and the sense of community found in Rock Hill.

Office Assistant Ebony Dunham said she was glad she chose to ride on the float with other teammates from the Home

“It was so fulfilling to see everyone and their reaction to the Children's Attention Home being a part of the night,” Dunham said. “So many people seemed to know about the Home and were very happy to see us.”

Volunteers helped decorate the float with lights, a Christmas tree, banners and other Christmas goodies to celebrate the holidays.

Executive Director Emily Parrish said being in the parade was one of the best opportunities she's had in a long time.

“It was so much fun to ring in the holiday season with our CAH team and our wonderful community,” Parrish said. “It was truly magical. We are looking forward to next year!”
