New Outreach Coordinator hired at Children's Attention Home

The Children's Attention Home's halls have been decked with a bit more "Holly" this Christmas season, as Holly Bishop was recently brought on to be the Home's Outreach Coordinator.

Bishop recently returned from a stint in the Peace Corps, working in Cameroon for almost a year. Before that, she graduated from the College of Charleston, studying Public Health during her time on the Carolina coast.

Rock Hill is the latest home for Bishop, who has lived in Pennsylvania, North Carolina, Georgia, Florida, Brazil and more in the last two decades. After moving to the area and attending a Youth Mental Health First Aid workshop at the Home, Bishop inquired about further opportunities with the Home. A few months later, she was hired.

"Holly hit the ground running and is a great asset to our team," Community Resource Director Katy Motsinger said. "She brings valued experience through her education in public health, her experience in the Peace Corps and working with other non-profits, and her passion for serving others. I'm excited to see the impact she will make!"

Bishop has a history of volunteer and non-profit work, including various organizations in Florida, where she spent the majority of her middle and high school years. Through those volunteer experiences, as well as being a Community Health Educator in the Peace Corps, Bishop feels she will be a good fit for the role.

"I wanted to work somewhere that had a strong, central mission," Bishop said. "Somewhere that actually had an impact on people's lives."
