On this first Friday in February, we’re launching something new! Forward Fridays will be a quick look at the moments and milestones shaping the Way Forward Campaign. Each update will bring you closer to the progress unfolding and the young adults whose futures are being built right now.

Today, we’re taking a step back to share how we got here, what’s already in motion, and how you can be part of this vital effort.

Over the past several years, the Home has seen a growing need among teens and young adults who are entering and leaving care without the stability or support they need to successfully transition to adulthood. In response, the Home has grown its services and ultimately embarked on the Way Forward Campaign—a multi-year effort to expand and improve facilities, strengthen existing programs, and create a sustainable path for more youth to find safety, healing, and independence.

Key to this effort has been the leadership of the Home's Board and the Campaign Leadership Committee. Since spring of 2024, this group has championed the vision, creating a ripple effect of support with nearly 60 others now on this journey.

After a series of permitting and zoning processes, a key milestone came this past October, when more than 50 supporters gathered for the groundbreaking of our two new homes.

And at the heart of all this progress is the reason this campaign exists in the first place: the young people who are stepping into adulthood who need a safe place to grow into their future. Every brick laid and every plan set in motion is about creating a place where they can land safely, heal deeply, and build the kind of future they deserve.

In the months ahead, we’ll share the individual stories that bring this to life—but today, we simply want you to see the future taking shape and the lives this campaign is preparing to hold.
