2026 October Newsletter

October 28, 2026

One quarter into the school year, and there has already been plenty of excitement as many of our youth returned to the classroom, reconnected with friends, and became involved in activities such as football, cheerleading, and band. It has been encouraging to watch them embrace new opportunities, build confidence, and strengthen connections within their schools and communities.

Fall brings its own familiar rhythms: Friday night lights, changing weather, Halloween fun, and traditions that become part of our childhood memories. At the Home, creating opportunities for youth to experience those everyday moments is an important part of helping life feel stable, connected, and full.

Thanks to generous community support, over the past month our youth have enjoyed activities such as tie-dye shirt making, pumpkin decorating, and other creative projects that allow them to express themselves and spend meaningful time with peers and staff. These simple, seasonal moments play an important role in helping youth feel connected, supported, and cared for.

I am grateful for our dedicated staff, volunteers, and supporters who continue to make these experiences possible. Their commitment helps create an environment where youth can learn, grow, and experience the sense of belonging every child deserves.
