A successful 17th Heart of the Home Benefit
On March 20, the Home hosted it's signature 17th annual Heart of the Home Benefit to raise valuable funds for its mission. This year, over 200 community members heard stories from the youth we serve, the experiences of our team, and learned where the Home can use the community's support in providing the much-needed services for teens in the Home's care. Altogether, over $150,000 was raised to support the mission of the Home!
"Our goal is always to provide nurturing care for youth and families in need," shared Executive Director, Emily Parrish. "This year, we are focused on expansion - growing our services and programs, and also expanding our campus. There are a lot of exciting things on the horizon for the Home, and we look forward to doing more good work for the kids that need us."
After enjoying a delicious lunch from Outback, the program kicked off with remarks from Board Chair Adam Smith. The inspiring program then featured videos of three youth living at the Home, an interview with residential team members Linda Whitlock and Caleasha “Ky” Thompson, and remarks from Executive Director Emily Parrish, Board Member Eric Ransone, and Board Treasurer Jimmy Autry. Altogether, over $150,000 was raised through contributions from sponsors and guests to support the programs and services at the Home.
