Summer is a busy time on our campus - many youth are working a variety of jobs and schedules with others staying at home, working on their goals and enjoying the summer. This week, Dr. Joshua shares a fun activity that brought some summer fun for our youth:
Last month, Barber Therapy & Associates put on a Mental Health team building day with our residents. They played team water games. While the games were competitive, the youth had a great time of fun and fellowship with everyone on campus.
Afterwards, “A Pinch of Soul” food truck came and cooked delicious food for them. Needless to say, seconds and thirds were consumed while supplies lasted! Then Carolina Ice Cream food truck came and put the sweetness back in the day for the kids.
They enjoyed the event from start to finish, ending it with singing and dancing in the dining room. One resident stated “We had a great time and I want some more hush puppies!”
