Julia came to the Home intending to be reunited with her siblings through her father. However, Julia didn’t have the support she needed to see her family in person. To ensure Julia was able to stay connected with her family, the Home’s team arranged for virtual family sessions each week for Julia to visit with them.
Every week, Julia’s therapist arranges a set time, and the Home’s team provides a quiet, private space where she can connect with her family. It’s a special time - she stays close to her loved ones even when distance keeps them apart. The Home also involves Julia’s family in her care planning, offering them the opportunity to participate not just in therapy, but also in sharing about the day-to-day moments of her life while she’s living at the Home.
With the support of our team, Julia is able to check in with her family regularly and keeping their connection even while they are apart.
