Comporium has consistently shown up with heart.

For over five decades, Comporium has partnered with the Home to ensure every child has been met with warmth, safety, and hope. Most recently, the Home celebrated a generous $50,000 donation from the Carolinas leading telecommunications provider to support The Way Forward Campaign.

A cornerstone of the Rock Hill community, Comporium has stood by the Home since its inception in 1970, helping to build a foundation of care and compassion for youth and families in need.

From serving on the Home’s Board of directors to volunteering at events like the annual Heart of the Home Luncheon, Comporium and its employees have consistently shown up—not just with resources, but with heart. For several years, the company has hosted lunch and learn sessions for the Home’s youth, intended to broaden a young person’s view of their potential future career opportunities. This engagement opportunity helps reinforce the company’s shared views and values of the Home: nurturing young people and strengthening families.

“One of our corporate core values is to take pride in our communities, giving back to enhance the quality of life in the areas we serve,” said Andrea Cooper, Comporium’s Senior Vice President of Human Resources, and a current Board member at the Home. “The Children's Attention Home is a perfect example of an organization that's making our community better by improving life for one young person at a time. We also value a family atmosphere, and that's certainly something we see on the campus every time we visit.”

Since the 1970s, Comporium has witnessed the transformative work happening at the Home. Whether it is providing food, clothing, or shelter, the Home meets a child’s basic needs and then looks to exceed them, helping each child build skills and confidence for the future.

“The work done at the Children's Attention Home speaks to so many of our employees,” Cooper added. “Basic needs like food, clothing, and shelter are vital to anyone's health and well-being, and the Home delivers those services with kindness and compassion. But the Home takes it a step further by working with each young person in their care, helping them develop skills and become better versions of themselves—qualities that will give them the best chance for success throughout their lives.”

With the compassionate care of the Home’s staff and the unwavering support of Comporium, countless young people have found stability, opportunity, and hope. From day one to year 55, Comporium has remained a loyal partner, and the Home looks forward to continuing this journey together, one life-changing moment at a time.
