Danielle stayed in 14 different places prior to coming to live at the Home. After so many new places, Danielle was reluctant to form relationships. Using trauma-informed care methods, our team worked to find activities that connected with Danielle. Over time, they discovered Danielle’s love for art and journaling.

To help her progress, the team often worked with Danielle one-on-one to help her accomplish goals and develop her coping skills. They also worked closely with her caseworker to ensure Danielle had the resources and daily support she needed through ups and downs.

To help her be successful in school, a modified educational plan was developed and Danielle began attending half-days. The Home was also able to connect Danielle with art camps and local community events that showcased her talent.

Danielle began to blossom and shine thanks to the team of people who walked with her daily in her journey towards progress. When asked about her time at the Home, Danielle shared “The Home allowed me to be my creative self.”
