Prior to arriving at the Home, Agatha been through 25 placements in just one year. Despite her challenges, she brings bundles of energy wherever she goes with her bold, creative personality.
Since coming to the Home, Agatha has worked with therapists, teachers, and specialists who helped her with social skills and past trauma. Through a supportive school program, she found the quiet and focus she needed to catch up in school, advancing to the 8th grade.
Family time also became a big focus. Agatha has been able to video call her siblings every week in a safe space, rebuilding those important relationships. With encouragement, Agatha also learned to take better care of herself and build healthy habits.
For the first time, Agatha got to celebrate her birthday in a meaningful way. She had a lot of emotions that day, but with help, she was able to navigate those emotions and experience true gratitude for her birthday sponsors and her peers who were also recognizing her big day.
At the Home, Agatha finally found the stability she needed to feel comfortable in her skin and navigate her mental health challenges.
