June Service Project: Serving Local Fire Departments

Each month, our children complete a service project to teach them about giving back to others. For the month of June, our kids baked chocolate chip cookies and wrote sweet notes of appreciation to three local Rock Hill fire stations in honor of Rick Sheltra and the Rick Sheltra Memorial Foundation. A big shout out to one of our residents, De'Asia, for all of her help in organizing this project!

The Rick Sheltra Memorial Foundation is named in memory of local area fire fighter Richard Sheltra, who died in a 3-alarm fire at a golf shop at just 20-years-old in 2016. The Foundation focuses on providing resources, gear and scholarships to volunteer first responders so that they can serve our local communities with excellence.
