Navigating the Frontlines Training

This comprehensive training provides participants with essential knowledge on human trafficking, legal definitions, awareness, and prevention strategies. Designed for professionals working with youth and vulnerable populations, the session will equip attendees with the tools needed to recognize and respond to trafficking situations effectively.
Training Topics Include:
- Introduction to Human Trafficking: An overview of human trafficking, including key definitions, the role of the state task force, and strategies for prevention.
- Mandated Reporting: Understanding legal responsibilities and best practices for reporting suspected trafficking cases.
- Labor Trafficking Awareness: A focused discussion on labor trafficking, including red flags for exploitative work conditions and protective measures for young people entering the workforce.
- Vicarious Trauma & Self-Care: Exploring the impact of working with vulnerable populations, identifying signs of burnout, and developing a personalized self-care plan.
This training incorporates interactive activities, scenario-based learning, and insights from the TraffickProofSC youth curriculum to provide a well-rounded approach to combating human trafficking. Attendees will leave with a deeper understanding of the issue and practical tools to support at-risk individuals.
