Corporate Matching Gift Programs
Does your company have a matching gift program? If so, encourage employees to support the Home financially and provide a matching gift to their donations.

Hosting a Matching Gift Campaign
Multiply your impact by sponsoring a community matching gift campaign! Whether it’s $1,000, $5,000, or more, you can increase your company’s support by challenging others in the community to match your gift with their donations!
Hosting a Fundraising Event
Rally your employees in team-building opportunity to raise funds for the Home! Here are a few ideas based on other companies’ campaigns:
- Penny Wars
- Wear Jeans to Work Day
- Host an internal matching gift campaign
- Host a party and collect donations
- Organize and promote a spirit night at a local restaurant
Participate in #GivingTuesday (1st Tuesday after Thanksgiving)
We give thanks, we shop, we give back! Giving Tuesday combats the consumerism of Black Friday and Cyber Monday by encouraging others to give back. Some great ways to support the Home on this day are:
- Host a fundraiser on Facebook or in the office
- Share why your company supports the Home on social media
- Share the Home’s social media posts
- Schedule a tour for your employees that day
- Host a matching gift campaign

Community Campaigns & Events
In addition to all of the ways your company can financially support the Children’s Attention Home, you can also be part of raising awareness and support through other opportunities:
Child Abuse Prevention Month (April)
Help raise awareness about ways the community can combat child abuse and neglect! Through hosting “Wear Blue” days, hosting a speaker in your office, or raising support for the Home, you are doing your part to help our community’s children. Learn more at attentionhome.org/capmonth.
Hunger & Homelessness Awareness Week (November)
Impact the homeless youth in our community by host a speaker at your company, share our social media posts, or attend any of the events or activities happening that week. Learn more about hosting a speaker at attentionhome.org/speakers-and-tours and find upcoming events at attentionhome.org/events.
Other Community Fundraising Events
Attend, assist, or sponsor with other fundraisers held on behalf of the Home throughout the year:
- York Electric Cooperative Teddy Bear Trot (April) – postponed due to COVID-19
- Kickin’ for a Cause Kickball Tournament (April) – postponed due to COVID-19
- #GivingTuesday (1st Tuesday after Thanksgiving)
Community Education Events
As a leader in youth-focused issues, the Children’s Attention Home offers events to better educate our community about supporting the youth we serve. To date, the Home has hosted trainings on:
- Youth Mental Health First Aid (in partnership with Atrium Health)
- Opioid Awareness
- Human Trafficking
- Youth Homelessness
- Foster Care Panel featuring experts in the field

Volunteer Opportunities
Engage your workforce in meaningful activities that give back to the community and support the youth at the Children’s Attention Home! Below are the many ways you can connect hands-on with our mission:
Group Service Projects
Many hands make light work! Assist with large service projects such as painting, cleaning, or organizing.
Collection Drives & Care Kits
Help check items off the Home’s shopping list by hosting a collection drive for standard items, such as snacks and paper products, or check out the needs list or Amazon Wish List for additional items the Home needs! Another great project is compiling Care Kit items that are given to children to welcome them to the Home. Learn more at attentionhome.org/needs-list.
Special Appeals
Throughout the year, there are opportunities to provide for specific occasions for our children, such as:
- Easter Egg-stravaganza (April)
- Summer Joy Kit (May)
- Christmas in July (July)
- Back to School (August)

- Clothing for Kids (As needed)
