Ray's Story

October 4, 2020

Ray and Teddy were brought to the Home after being abandoned to fend for themselves. Unable to attend school, both siblings had fallen behind in their education. They were placed in foster care for the first time and able to stay together because of the Children’s Attention Home. After they arrived, the team worked to find the schools that best fit their needs, connected them with mental health resources, and worked with both siblings on coping skills. Ray received her state ID, worked on her resume, and focused on other independent living skills with the goal of finding employment. They were able to focus on their future because they had each other.
