August 30, 2016

ROCK HILL, S.C. – The Children’s Attention Home received a generous contribution of $2,000 from the Food Lion Feeds Charitable Foundation to help feed the children they serve and educate them in healthy eating and good nutrition.

“This gift is such a blessing to us,” expressed the Home’s Executive Director, Debra Eident. “The support of the Food Lion Feeds Charitable Foundation will not only help with feeding our children well, but also teaching them the importance of healthy eating habits.”

Founded in 1970 as a home for abused and neglected children placed in foster care, the Children’s Attention Home seeks to provide a nurturing environment for every child that comes into their care. The funds provided by the Food Lion Feeds Charitable Foundation will help purchase nutritious snacks and meals for the children they serve. In addition, a portion of the funds will go towards providing educational materials that will aid the Home in teaching the children healthy eating habits.

Established in 2001, the Food Lion Feeds Charitable Foundation provides financial support for programs and organizations dedicated to feeding the hungry in the communities it serves. Since its inception, the foundation has awarded more than $9 million in grants.
