Now that Thanksgiving has come and gone, all thoughts for the holidays have turned to Christmas.
Some Christmas wish lists include only the things individuals want but for others, the list is all about specific needs. Chester County Government is putting its heart and best foot forward this holiday season to help residents of the Children's Attention Home, a 24-hour emergency shelter for abused, abandoned and neglected children from birth to age 21. Although the home is located in Rock Hill, children from Chester and other surrounding communities reside there, said Stephanie Bishop, organizer of the gift collection project.
“Kids come to the Children's Attention Home at all hours of the day and they come in with just what they have on,” she said. “We want to provide these kids with something of their own.”
