Good Shepherd Hosts Teammate Christmas Party

December 13, 2018

Here at the Children’s Attention Home, it goes without saying that we could not be able to do what we do for the children of our community and beyond without the support of the community surrounding us. You all are so incredibly thoughtful and your generosity shows it every time. Often, we focus on giving our children not only their needs, but many of their wants, so it is always refreshing to see community members come together to honor and appreciate our staff team here taking care of up to 42 children around the clock. Anyone with children can attest to the strain it can sometimes take on a person mentally, physically, emotionally, and even spiritually. We appreciate our teammates so much here at the Home and it is awesome when you all show us your appreciation as well.

That is why we are so grateful for Good Shepherd Church out of Charlotte! Good Shepherd stepped in to volunteer to host our annual teammate Christmas party for us. However, this is not a new thing for this church, as they have an extensive history with supporting the Home’s mission, children, and staff.

When asked about the Home’s relationship with Good Shepherd, Volunteer Coordinator Sharada Abraham could not hold back. She says, “I am so glad that we can always count on Good Shepherd as they have been an avid supporter of the Home for over 8 years. in addition to the many ways they support our children, they have always went above and beyond to show appreciation to our staff each year by blessing the teammates over the Holidays with gift cards, pies, blessing bags, and much more. They are the gift that keeps on giving. They have a heart for service as well as a heart for the Home and they show the love of Christ in countless ways.”

We want to publicly thank Good Shepherd Church for everything they have done and continue to do for the Children’s Attention Home.

If you or your church would like to become more involved with the Home, please feel free to reach out to our Outreach Coordinator, DeVonté Walker (803-372-6844 or dwalker@attentionhome.org), to request a speaker, schedule a tour, or learn more about volunteer opportunities.
