The Children’s Attention Home (CAH) is thrilled to announce a $ 32,615 grant from the Walmart Foundation’s State Giving Program.
The money will be used to launch CAH’s nutrition education and food management training program for youth ages 13 to 21 at CAH. The program is one of several developmental modules designed to provide independent living skills to foster care teens transitioning to adulthood.
“We are very grateful for Walmart’s generous support,” said Phil Hynes, President/CEO of Children’s Attention Home. “This special grant will enable us to implement a critical component of our Independent Living Program. The nutrition education and food management module is designed to empower the youth in our care with the life skills, knowledge, and confidence to establish healthy eating habits and prepare nutritious, economical meals as they transition to life outside of foster care.”
